Setting up the OkidataTM Microline 320/321 or 420/421 Turbo

Many bank, state and warranty forms have carbonless or carbon copies that are required to be filled in. These types of forms require an impact printer that leaves an impression when printing. Ink-jet and laser printers do not do this! Therefore, you will need a dot-matrix or other impact-style printer to print your forms.

Friday Systems specifically recommends and supports the OkidataTM 320/420(8.5" carriage) and 341/421(16.5" carriage) series of dot-matrix printers for printing forms.

Other impact printers may be used; however, Friday Systems can only directly support OkidataTM 32x & 42x series printers.

These printers can be purchased online through retailers such as Amazon.com, NewEgg.com, Walmart.com, Staples.com and many other sites. They are generally not stocked at any retail stores.

In order to properly print forms, the Okidata printer must have correct settings. Incorrect settings may cause printing problems at the margins or the adding line fees on longer forms.

Second, you will need to ensure your form is properly aligned in the printer.
