Photos can be useful for on-site sales and inventory as well as web advertising.
You may load up to 99 digital photographs for each vehicle.
Photos are acquired by using a digital camera, or by scanning a picture using a scanner.
These photos must be made available in a folder that can be accessed from your computer.
Friday Systems, Inc. highly recommends buying a digital camera with a memory card that can be read from a memory card reader attached to your PC so that you can avoid using a complicated third party download system.
Adding Photos and Images
The photo or image you want to add must be stored in a file folder on your computer.
Load the vehicle by selecting it from the inventory.
Click on the 'Descriptions/Pictures' tab.
Click the 'Attach' button.
If the image is not oriented correctly (upended or upside down), click the 'Rotate' button until the correct orientation is achieved.
A window will appear allowing you to locate your image. (See example below) In the left-hand frame of this window, navigate through folders to find the image that you want to attach. Clicking on a folder will display that folder's image files in the center frame. Click on a specific image in the center frame for selection. Double click, or select the 'Open' command.
The selected image will now be associated with this vehicle listing and will appear in the Inventory Detail window. It will also be available for display on the Internet when you upload your inventory for web advertising.
The system stores images in a standard 4:3 width-to-height ratio.
You enter a description or 'tagline' in the box below the window.
Click the 'internal use' box if you do not want this particular image to be uploaded with all the others that are attached to this vehicle.
When finished, click the 'Save Changes' box.
