The format menu applies only to the 'Deals & Quotes' screen.
To hide a particular column, click on the column heading, then click on 'Format' in the horizontal tool bar and select 'Columns', then 'Hide Column'.
To hide a particular row, click in the row you want to hide, then click 'Format, select 'Rows', then 'Hide Row'.
Reverse the process by selecting 'Format', then 'Show all Columns', or 'Show all Rows'.
