Next Automatic Stock Number -- Stock numbers can be automatically generated as vehicles come into inventory.  This is accomplished in one of two ways:

Use a Starting Stock Number: After entering a starting stock number, the program will use this number for the first vehicle entered into your inventory. The software will then add "1" to this number to obtain the next stock number. The next stock number is then filled back into this box and will be used for the next vehicle.

Use the Last Few Digits of a VIN: Selecting a number here will tell the program to generate stock numbers using the specified number of digits from the end of the vehicle's VIN. (six or seven)  If the 0 (zero) option is selected, the starting number from the Next Automatic Stock Number box will be used.

More detailed information about the 'Next Sequential Stock Number' can be found here.
