Most times, forms such as retail contracts which require an itemization of the amount financed will have a configuration section.
This section allows you to arrange fees charged in the deal and place those fees onto certain lines of the form's itemization section.
This section will be set initially, but you may override the settings to suit your business needs.
When you view a form's configuration screen, you will notice two distinct columns. Each column lists the fees from your deal's financial screen and a box describing the line on the form on which that fee will be printed. In the example shown above, the fee labeled Service Contract will be printed on a line of the paper form labeled section 1A1 Cash Price on the contract.
If you set multiple fees to be printed on the same line, the form will sum those fees into a single number for printing on the form. In the example above, a single number will be printed on the paper form on a line labeled 4E Gov Taxes. From the information above, you can see that this single number will be the sum of the fees Sales Tax, Local Tax and Tire Tax.
Many paper forms will also have blank lines to describe the fee charged and to whom the fee is paid. You can let the system fill in this value for you or you may override the system and print whatever you would like. You set these values in the bottom half of the screen. In the example above, there are four blank lines with the label To:. To allow the system to fill in the lines for you, ensure that the phrase <DEFAULT>is entered into each box corresponding to the blank line on the form. If you wish to enter your own value to print on the blank To: line, erase the phrase <DEFAULT> and enter your own text.
To save your changes for this form, click the OK button. The system will prompt you to confirm that you wish to save your changes.
To exit the form without saving any changes, click the Cancel button.
To clear the form entirely so you can enter all of the information yourself, click the Clear button.
You can reset a form to its "factory settings" by clearing all defaults for the form from the Form Alignment Settings Window.
