<< Click to Display Table of Contents >> Navigation: Using The System > Basic Features > Deal Processing > Processing a New Deal > Step 3: Entering Vehicle Information |
The tab labeled 3-Selling Vehicle already contains information about the vehicle being sold:
➢From the current new deal when the vehicle is chosen VIA its stock number in the 'Preliminary Information' section of 1-Financial Calculations.
➢From a deal loaded from the system's memory. For more information, go to Loading a Previous Deal.
You will find that most of the vehicle's information will already be entered in this screen.
Continue to enter any additional information to process the paper work. For example, a current odometer reading may be required.
➢When entering odometer information in the Odometer box, to indicate that the odometer is in excess of its mechanical limits click the checkbox marked Mechanical Limits.
➢If there is a discrepancy between actual mileage and the display on the odometer, click the check box marked Discrepancy.
➢If the vehicle being sold is a demo model, click the check box marked Demo.
Click on the 'Vehicle Details' button to open the Inventory window containing complete details for the vehicle.
If you enter a vehicle which is not currently in your stock and then complete the deal, the system will automatically create a new inventory record for this vehicle and mark it as being sold.
When you have completed the Vehicle section, click the Mark Section Complete button in left hand column.
You can show if the registration or plate number for this vehicle has been transferred from another vehicle. Simply click the check box marked Transfer to mark the vehicle as having a transferred plate or registration.
If you would like to see a more detailed description of the vehicle, click the button marked Vehicle Details. This will take you out of the Deal Processing tab on the right-hand side of the screen and open the Inventory Detail tab. The vehicle being sold will appear in this screen with its information displayed. To return to the Deal Processing tab, simply click on the Deal Processing tab on the right-hand side of the screen.
