Purchase Date/Days in Inventory
To begin entering a vehicle into your inventory, enter the date you purchased this vehicle into the Purchase Date box. You may use the calendar button to select a date.
After you enter a date, a box to the right of the date will display the number of days this particular vehicle has been in your inventory.
Stock Number
If you have already selected the option to generate automatic stock numbers, an automatic stock number will be inserted into the Stock Number field. You may override an automatic stock number by typing in the box. Otherwise, Stock Number field will be blank and ready to accept a manually-entered stock number.
VIN (Vehicle Identification Number)
When the blinking cursor is in the V.I.N. field, enter the vehicle’s ID number.
When you move the cursor to another entry box, the system will then try to decode the VIN.
The system will use its built-in VIN decoder to extract any vehicle information and fill in much of the screen for you.
Items such as make, model, style, number of cylinders, transmission, and basic standard equipment will automatically be filled in after you enter a VIN. The Make, Model, Purchase Date, Stock Number, and VIN are required fields. If any of these are missing, the vehicle will not be added to the inventory.
If the VIN does not match established industry formats you will receive a warning that your VIN may not be correct. If you receive this warning, please be sure to double-check the VIN that you entered.
Unit Type and Options
In the Unit Type field, click the down arrow and make a selection.
Once a selection has been made, the Options window will fill with typical options for that type of vehicle.
New or Used
Enter the vehicle's status into the New or Used box by clicking the down arrow and making a choice (New, Used, Transit, or Wholesale) .
If the information for a particular non-mandatory field is unavailable or unnecessary, leave that field blank.

When you are finished entering the vehicle's information, click the 'Save Vehicle' command on the left side of the screen. to save the vehicle to your inventory.
Note: Clicking Save Vehicle, Repair Orders, or switching to the Inventory List window will perform a save operation, and you will not be able to undo any changes you made up to that point.
Changes must be made by using the Load/Edit function.
